A Day and Night in Cynthia Steffe

In lieu of seeing designers put things on the runway that are hardly translatable to the customer (the Gaga inspired no pants thing for example), Cynthia Steffe's spring show was the antithesis of that.  Every piece designer Shaun Kearney sent down the runway was fun, fresh, and gave you that feeling of wanting everything.  Packed with florals, shades of turquoise and soft blues, pops of crisp white, and soft denim pieces that looked light enough for any spring/summer day, the collection was ethereal and pretty, but edgy enough for downtown.  Not only that, but I could see every piece fit seamlessly into my existing wardrobe, which in recessionary times is exactly what girls need and look for: versatility, positivity, and longevity.

Before the show, I was able to pop in the showroom to pick out some pieces for the show and a Dsquared party.

The day of the show was rainy and cold, so a dark, edgier look seemed appropriate.  And I semi channelled this look from Vogue Nippon by wearing polka dot tights (from Club Monaco) with my shorts and boots.  Zipper top and leather shorts by Cynthia Steffe.  Boots: Victoria's Secret

Love this sequin dress from their holiday collection!  It has a black polka dot tulle overlay and I felt like I was wrapped up and rolled into sparkles for a night.  I have been seeing glam sequins everywhere for Spring, so this dress instantly becomes year round piece instead of a just-for- the-holidays look.  Love that.

Thanks to Sasha, Aimee, and Shaun for making me so stylish for the week!  Can't wait till the collection hits stores!

Also, read more about Shaun and Cynthia Steffe from my previous Q&A HERE.

xoxo,
