Finally...

Woke up this morning to some potentially great news.  Mega retail chain Zara (aka mecca), who has been leaving Gap shaking in its Pierre Hardy boots , will be launching e-commerce.  According to the UK Press Association, the Spanish retailer is planning to first launch in the UK, Spain, France, Germany, and Portugal.  So what does that do for us on the other side of the pond?  Well, you all remember how Topshop online started over there then finally was rolled out into the US and was a massive success?  I am sure Zara sees that as a potential score for them especially since they have seen a minor loss in sales in the past 6 months.  Now if only they had U.S. PR and would lend samples out!
