Stylish Form + Function

You may think that Spanx is the best invention since the eyelash curler, but there is a new shapewear star on the horizon with Rafaella Form and Function clothing.  Think Michelle Obama style but with a more affordable price and also allows you to look pounds smaller.  Get better than that right?  Creative Director Richard Metzger gave me a tour last night of some of his newest additions to the line, which sell at heavy hitting stores like Macy's and Dillard's.  He spent countless hours trying to come up with a solution for built in shapewear without compromising the fit, form, and appeal of the clothing.  Instead of adding bulk, like Spanx would do, he came up with Ergofit.  Not only is it the most lightweight material that I've felt in shapewear, but it is hidden behind cute details and chic designs.  Every piece also comes with signage to explain exactly how the piece is meant to work, so there is no guessing for the consumer.

The Michelle Obama inspired pieces (below) are available for resort and come in a candied assortment of colors.  SO cute and each piece is well under 100 dollars.

Their other line Ellavie is super cute as well.  It is a bit more trendy and carries a 20 dollar jump in the price tag, but the clothes are still under $100.  I love the giant Carrie Bradshaw-esque flower!  Perfect for work and post-work festivities.

Then after the event, it was off to PJ Clarks for a burger with my girls.  Here are Memphis and I giving our best poses after dinner.. Memphis founded To-Do Events which is the hottest event planning company around and I'm wearing Cynthia Steffe red floral high-waisted shorts from their Spring collection!  I'm still on the hunt for a bralette to go with these.

xoxo,

SG
