Uptown Girl

Monique Lhuillier's spring show combined two of my favorite things: art and fashion.  Set at Christie's Auction House boardroom, the Monique girl was classic, refined, but with some amazing extra details.  From out of Africa to out-on-the-town New York, Monique's inspiration varied.  I love to see a show in the tents with all the excitement and energy, but there is something about a presentation that lets you really experience the clothing first hand.  With all of the exquisite details in the garments, they would have been lost at the Tents.  I love the chunky shoe and tilted fedora hats!  It gave the collection a younger and more youthful feel.
