The New Flat?

There's the gladiator, the ballet slipper, the loafer... all designed to give our poor stiletto beat up feet a break.  But is there a new flat shoe trend on the horizon?  Vogue UK reported model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wearing Newbark shoes which are a cross between a ballet slipper and a Moroccan slipper.   With more searching I found them on Net-A-Porter and they carry a pretty hefty price tag of $350.  Sisters Maryam and Marjam Malakpour designed the shoes with traveling and cozy home dwelling in mind. Would you switch out your Tory Burch Reva flat for these? And wear them in public?
