The Fashion Oscars (aka:CFDA Awards) were last night and with my packed schedule I sadly had to miss this one. But even though the event was a little less glossy, (no pun intended) designers still flocked down the red carpet with their muses in tow. One shoulder dresses and peekaboo sheer dominated the night as did grey and whites.
The one disappointment was Phillip Lim who dressed his muse in a white tux with ruffled shirt that just didn't look as glam as some of the knock outs above.
I personally thought Molly Sims looked so old Hollywood glam, well literally, with Dolce and Gabbana's tribute to Marilyn Monroe. There is just something about this shape that evokes a fantasy and the hair pulled back draws attention to the sometimes underrated decolletage.
Rodarte took the big prize for Womenswear Designer of the Year and one of my favorite jewelry lines, Justin Giunta for Subversive won the Swarovski Accessory award. Congrats to all the winners!
xoxo,
SG
