Selena Takes Teen Vogue

Selena Gomez trades in her wizard wand for liberty florals and lace up trek boots on the June Teen Vogue.  There is something infectious about this 16 year old Disney star.  Maybe she stands for everything we want young girls to be...innocent, grounded, and focused..conjuring up memories of a pre-affected Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan.  Let's hope she keeps her head in the place it is in now.  Selena says it best herself by telling the glossie, "I've seen so many people who really let this business control their life and its heartbreaking.  I'm glad I went through it, because it made me realize that I don't want to live like that."  I'm loving the Trek boots with the girlie dresses.  Teen Vogue always nails the unexpected perfectly.

Also, she sports Givenchy's neon necklace (above), which clearly has been an editor's favorite this early summer.  The price point is pretty nice at $100-350 depending on the size.  Not bad for designer.  Givenchy also brought back the jelly gladiator sandals again this season for $125 on Zappos.com!
